Should Politicians Be Forced to Disclose Their Sponsors?

I just signed up to a new Facebook group--closing in on 5,000 members--calling for politicians to wear the logos of their corporate sponsors in much the same way NASCAR drivers do. Just the idea of Joe Liebermann trying to fit the name of every insurance company in the nation on to his rumpled suit should be motivation enough for others to do the same.

In truth, I'm not sure this is exactly the right solution to the problem of undue corporate influence, but I do think the organization behind the Facebook group-- Opensecrets.org--is on to something.

Perhaps a piece of legislation compelling Congressmen to identify all the relevant special interests from which they have received campaign contributions before speaking on an issue? If that raises some issues of legality and practicality (it might take an hour or two for someone like Lierberman to get through the whole list), how about news organizations such as C-SPAN and CNN deciding to run a list of politicians' "sponsors" on the news crawler every time they use video of a politician speaking?
